Took a nice slow 7 mile jog down to and from the club workout at the track just to do a few easy laps, since I got my workout in yesterday to give myself adequate rest before Friday’s Subaru 4 miler. Along with a brisk breeze, the temps were already coming down, as it’s supposed to feel like fall the next couple of days. If the temperate weather could hang in through Friday evening and stay in the low 70’s, then it would be one of the coolest days – both in terms of temps and spirit – ever for that race. It’s normally a humid scorcher on race day, where the Kenyan runners don’t seem to be bothered too much by it. We mere mortals might have a shot at a personal best if the weather holds out.
