…And that’s what I did indeed today, 8 miles nice and easy on park trails and golf course on a pleasant breezy afternoon. Gave me a chance to recover from yesterday’s track intervals as well as to unwind from a busy week. I can tell I’m getting more confident and comfortable about my running as the year progresses; I no longer feel the need to push it every day as I did earlier in the year, as if that was going to help. Not resting properly obviously only hurts your training. So these days, it’s run hard on hard days, and easy on easy days…though, I have to say, it’s taken a lot of hard days and hard work these past several months to get to this point of increased confidence.
