After ‘rocking out’ to the Spring portion of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, was carried by its lovely strings through 10 miles in the park and through Buffalo’s streets in another single digit windchill.
Still feeling good from Saturday’s race, not just from the results, but from what it signaled. After breaking through with some good racing last year, but facing the challenges of continuing to improve as I move into my late 40’s, I was looking at this year with a lot of questions. Saturday’s Shamrock answered some of those, that I still had room for improvement.
Realized that there are still racing strategies and tactics for me to re-learn, like how to start off, when and whether to make moves, how to stick with a pack, how to finish. Last year was great, but it was the first full racing season in many years and I am a ‘young’ competitor again.
