A bleak gloomy day, full of wind and cold, after a promising start with a lot of sun. Out of sorts a bit getting back into the swing of things at work. Got in 8 miles in the park, getting pelted by the wind on the way back home. With the knowledge of the deep freeze returning this week, it just was not the most upbeat day. Luckily the run itself was good, getting my head right again after some smooth running.
With this background, still trying to decide whether to run this Saturday’s Shamrock Run. Many runners I know will be there, I’m leaning towards it. It’s a wild race, almost no exaggeration, more than half of the 5000 runners there will be drunk at some point in the 8K ‘run’. The battle will be to get ahead of this drunken pack right at the start.
